What is Psychotherapy?

Psychotherapy is an opportunity to slow down and pay attention to what’s really going on inside of you. Taking a closer look at the themes and patterns of the past will liberate you to experience a more fulfilling life and to focus on what really matters most to you.

During the course of psychotherapy, you'll learn to:

  • Clarify wants, needs and desires
  • Cultivate more honest, satisfying relationships
  • Cope effectively with the ups and downs of life
  • Grieve the past to live more fully in the present
  • Navigate life transitions more successfully

Therapy is not a cookie-cutter process. It may be short-term or long-term; weekly or more than once a week; one-to-one or in a group, but it requires a collaborative effort between you and your therapist to determine the most relevant approach for you.
