BIG NEWS! The companion workbook to It’s Not About the Sex has been accepted for publication by Routledge Press (New York). More details to follow but I’m eager to move into editing hibernation with an expected release date of Spring 2024!
Special thanks to those who have shared such positive and constructive feedback about the original book and have inspired this follow-up workbook. I’ve also included “memoir pieces” and composite case studies in each chapter to illustrate the various themes and patterns of sexual compulsivity.

Men’s “In-person” Process Group Now Forming
Group therapy is still a best-kept secret and one of the most cost-effective and clinically-sound options for therapeutic support. I am very pleased to be forming a Men’s Interpersonal Process Group that will meet weekly on Wednesdays from 5:00-6:15pm, $100 per session. Santa Monica location on Ocean Park and 33rd. Contact Andrew Susskind, LCSW, SEP, CGP at (310) 281-8681 or andrew@westsidetherapist.com for more details.
Group Psychotherapy Association of Los Angeles “In-person” Conference
It’s not too late to register for GPALA’s first in-person training in three years on Friday, June 23rd and Saturday, June 24th. The topic of the conference is "From Sensation to Relation" and the training will be led by Dr. Carlos Canales on the topic of using somatic experiencing and embodiment in group work. Dr. Canales was a guest on my podcast recently, and he is a terrific clinician and human being—down to earth, passionate and a talented teacher of group therapy. I’m looking forward to seeing some of you there in 3D!
