Jen Davis, M.A. is a psychotherapist specializing in the following areas:Jen Davis

  • Addictions
  • Depression and Anxiety
  • The psychology of women
  • Unblocking creativity
  • Living with grief
  • Trauma

In her clinical practice, Jen works with individuals and couples having earned her B.F.A. in Acting from Emerson College in Boston, and her M.A. in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University, Los Angeles. While at Antioch, she focused her studies on the intersection of Addiction, Spirituality, and Trauma.

Prior to completing her graduate studies, Jen channeled her obsession with the workings of the human mind, body and spirit into the creative arts, spending decades acting, writing, and taking photographs. It is with this extensive creative experience that she works closely with clients facing creative blocks that are interfering with their sense of movement and meaning in their daily lives.

While at Antioch University, Jen began her clinical training at Counseling West where she worked very closely with Carol Tanenbaum, Ph.D, MFT. It was through Carol’s nearly forty years of experience with psychoanalysis and working with trauma in war-torn communities, that Jen was able to further inform her perspectives on trauma and its effects on development, attachment, and her clients experience of fully being themselves in the world. It was also at Counseling West that Jen turned her attention toward the psychology of women, in regards to re-exploring developmental stages, and the relationship with desire, needs and fear.

Jen believes that, given the effective tools, the human spirit is indestructible. In addition to building strong therapeutic relationships, in which healing can be co-created, she helps clients weed out of the roots of the ineffective stories they tell themselves in order to facilitate more personal freedom and more valuable relationships.

Jen is currently accepting new clients in her Westside office and receives clinical supervision from Andrew Susskind, LCSW, SEP, CGP. Contact Jen by email at or by phone at 818.369.4815.
